How does one recover after a stressful moment or situation? Recovery tools help one create pockets of time and space to relax, unwind, rest, and think about what happened.

Here are some activities that can help you recover:
 

  • Spend some time with yourself. You could take a walk, a shower, or a nap. 

  • Sip a cup of a warm beverage like tea, coffee, or hot chocolate. 

  • Lie down on your terrace, balcony, or any other open space and watch the clouds go by. 

  • Engage with nature.

  • Colour some art. 

  • Write a journal.

  • Think about and process the situation you just faced: was there one good thing that happened in that stressful situation? For instance, are you proud of how you reacted in the moment – like not yelling, or using the right words at the right time?
